This city was given it’s name after railroad workers saw deer constantly grazing in the area. Settled in 1889 after the Spokane Falls & Northern Railway, this city is located just north of Spokane. It is also home to the Acadia Apple Orchards, which were planted in order to refurbish the land from harsh logging. There are nearly 4000 people and 1400 homes in this city. Deer Park is also known for their community events including Settlers Day in July, Summer Concert Series, a citywide yard sale , and Winterfest in January.
