Historic Home of the Week: Thomas House

The Thomas House, located on Nora Avenue, was built in 1902 and originally owned by Dr. Charles and Elise Thomas.  Doctor Thomas was both a surgeon at the then St.Luke’s hospital as well as owning and operating a private practice in the Fernwell building offices. This is a prime historical example of a Queen Anne Free Classic style home. This particular style of home places great importance on detail. As you can see from the picture, the exterior of this home, even after over 100 years, displays an original exterior with custom siding and vintage windows. What can’t be seen is the amazing interior. Homes like this often have custom carpentry and detailed molding along with pristine hardwood floors and staircases.
