In the summer of 2006, Spokane Valley local Jenny Hoff was sadly diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. This disease is also known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS for short. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain. This extremely debilitating disease has made Jenny move stubbornly from a walker to a wheelchair. Lately, Jenny has been trying to raise awareness about the disease as well as fundraise for a new lift and chair. She once traveled along the Centennial Trail for 37 miles in her wheelchair in order to raise awareness! Let’s help out this local woman on her mission to inform the public about ALS and fundraise!
